Marketing Guide for TikTok’s Ultimate Influencer

Online marketing and any other marketing require targeting people you believe will become customers. Influencer marketing requires that you take a step back and concentrate on those who influence and appeal to your target audience. You might consider TikTok influencers if you are selling to a young audience.

Like YouTube, TikTok’s most significant feature is sharing videos. TikTok’s most important feature is sharing videos.

If you are over 35 years old, TikTok is probably new to you unless you follow our Influencer Marketing Hub posts. We will start by explaining what TikTok does and how it works.

TikTok Influencer Market Guide:

What’s TikTok?

TikTok, as we know it today, started as two apps. Both originated in China. The original app was called Douyin in China, but it was later renamed TikTok worldwide. TikTok/Douyin found its most loyal supporters initially in Asia. Musical.ly was the other app. Like TikTok/Douyin was created by Chinese developers but had a large audience in the West, especially in the USA. However, in 2018, the TikTok owners decided to purchase Musical.ly. The owners rebranded the combined app TikTok outside China. However, they still have their original Douyin app.

TikTok: How does it work?

Musical.ly’s original purpose was to allow young people to make videos and sing along to their favourite songs. It is a glorified karaoke platform. The original TikTok and Musical.ly had similar basic concepts, so they merged well.

However, things have changed in recent years, and people upload more original videos covering a wider range of genres.

Who are the Main TikTok Users?

TikTok is heavily youth-oriented. Generation Z’s youth may have Facebook accounts but rarely use them. Facebook is where their parents spend most of their time. Generation Z prefers to have their social media accounts. They are happy to share Instagram with Mom or Dad, but they also love Snapchat (for sharing things they don’t want to reveal to the Olds) and TikTok (a “kids-only video-sharing platform).

What Types of Content Do Well on TikTok?

TikTok’s heart is, like YouTube, the videos people share. The more entertaining and popular the videos are, the greater their appeal. The videos are shorter than YouTube and are shot in a vertical format. This is the same way people hold their phones.

Why Should You Use TikTok for Influencer Marketing?

TikTok is a platform for influencer marketing and social media marketing. It would be best if you were not too salesy. This is especially true because of TikTok’s young demographic. Brands find Generation Z notoriously difficult because they are utterly against traditional advertisements.

How Do Brands Market on TikTok?

Paid AdsPaid ads have been introduced by TikTok recently. These ads are still in their infancy, and it isn’t easy to gauge how cost-effective or successful they will be, especially when targeting the advertising-fearing Generation Z.

TikTok suggests that you combine the following ad formats.

  • The takeover of a brand
  • Native video in-feed
  • Hashtag challenge
  • Lens 2D, Lens 3D, Lens AR

In-Feed Native Videos

You can share native videos in your feed, whether using them for a paid advertisement or your company TikTok channel. You can upload short video clips up to nine seconds long, but these can only last 15 seconds.

Hashtag Challenges

TikTok users respond extremely well to challenges. TikTok users can participate in multiple challenges at once.

A typical TikTok challenge is one that someone sets. The challenge begins with a # and ends with a challenge name. This is why the Hashtag Challenge is so popular. This challenge usually challenges other TikTok users to create and share a specific type of video.

Influencer Marketing

TikTok’s most effective marketing method is influencer marketing. Ads don’t cause you to suffer, and you don’t need to worry as much about building the right audience for native videos that you have on your company account.

Selecting the Right Influencers for Your Brand

No matter what social media channels you use to promote influencer marketing, it doesn’t matter. It is important to select the right influencers that will help your brand.

First, ensure your target customers use TikTok. Do you focus on the right demographic?

Once you have identified the right influencers, it is time to reach out and create a partnership. Your influencers must agree to any partnership. They won’t want to be involved unless they have something to gain and can see the benefits for their followers.
